The beaches
São Martinho do Porto
The lovely shell-shaped bay is an ideal place for family outings. It is particularly well protected, with a gentle slope and calm waters that are reassuring if you have small children. The many restaurants, stores and ice cream parlors will keep your afternoons busy.
Foz do Orelho
The beauty and strength of the ocean is found here, with waves crashing on the cliffs that run along the coast as far as the eye can see. You will enjoy watching the sunset at the end of the day here.
Visit
The Costa de Prata is one of the most interesting regions of the country, where you can discover some of the most beautiful cultural sites of the country, such as Batalha, Alcobaça and Tomar, which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
The fortified city of Obidos, which is in an exceptional state of conservation, or the city of Coimbra, further north, which was the birthplace of the first kings of the Portigal.
Other places of interest in the region include the city of Nazaré, which is known for its marine geology, which allows for the formation of some of the largest waves in the world, or Fatima, one of the most important places of pilgrimage in the world.

The city offers many sports and outdoor activities, including windsurfing, canoeing, water skiing and jet skiing. It is also possible to rent bicycles, go rock climbing or take the beautiful hiking trails along the cliffs by the sea. Foz do Orelho and Obidos LagoonThe beach of Foz do Orelho with its more powerful waves is an ideal spot for surfers and windsurfers. The area around the Obidos Lagoon and the walled city is home to many golf courses with beautiful views of the ocean.
